Consumer Health Data Privacy Statement – Rent a Car with Cash

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Statement (“Statement”) explains how R Gregory LLC d/b/a Rent a Car with Cash (“Rent a Car with Cash,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information that may be considered “consumer health data” under certain state health privacy laws, including the Washington My Health My Data Act and the Nevada consumer health data law (collectively, “Consumer Health Data Laws”). This Statement supplements our general Privacy Policy and applies only to information we handle that falls within the scope of the Consumer Health Data Laws. EHI Privacy Center
1) Consumer Health Data We May Collect or Receive
In limited situations, we may collect or receive information about your health or health-related conditions (“Consumer Health Data”) when it is relevant to services you request or to incidents/claims involving a rental vehicle.
We may collect Consumer Health Data:
- Directly from you (for example, if you report an injury or request assistance or an accommodation); and/or
- With your authorization, from third parties such as insurance companies, medical providers, medical records/copy services, law firms, or other authorized representatives; and/or
- From investigations or publicly available sources in connection with an incident, dispute, or claim. EHI Privacy Center
Examples of Consumer Health Data we may receive include information about current or past physical, mental, or medical conditions; injuries or disabilities; medical procedures or prescriptions; and related history or factors that may be relevant to an injury claim (for example, substance use information where relevant to a claim). 2) How We Use Consumer Health Data
We collect, use, and share Consumer Health Data only as reasonably necessary for purposes such as:
- Handling and administering claims or incidents (including determining responsibility and damages)
- Conducting internal reviews and investigations related to an incident, dispute, or claim
- Providing services you request related to the rental or claim
- Maintaining business records and complying with internal policies
- Complying with law, legal process, and regulatory requirements
- Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims EHI Privacy Center
We do not “sell” Consumer Health Data as that term is defined by applicable Consumer Health Data Laws. EHI Privacy Center
3) Who We May Share Consumer Health Data With
We may share Consumer Health Data for claim handling, incident response, service fulfillment, or as required/permitted by law, including with:
- Our affiliated entities and personnel who need the information for claim handling and related operations
- Insurance companies, insurance brokers, and appointed representatives involved in a claim
- Service providers and professional advisors (for example, IT/hosting vendors, document and records management providers, medical professionals or consultants, actuaries, and similar support services)
- Third-party claims administrators, investigators, engineers, translators, legal service providers, and other vendors who assist with claim administration
- Fraud prevention and claim integrity services to help detect and prevent fraudulent claims
- Governmental or public authorities, litigants, and others as required by law or legal process EHI Privacy Center
4) Your Rights Under Consumer Health Data Laws (Washington and Nevada)
If you are a Washington or Nevada resident, you may have certain rights regarding Consumer Health Data, subject to exceptions and limitations, including:
- The right to confirm whether we collect, share, or sell Consumer Health Data about you
- The right to access Consumer Health Data we hold about you
- Nevada residents may also have the right to access a list of third-party recipients of Consumer Health Data, as applicable
- The right to receive a copy of the Consumer Health Data we hold about you
- The right to correct Consumer Health Data we hold about you
- The right to request deletion of Consumer Health Data we collected about you
- The right to withdraw consent to certain collection or sharing of Consumer Health Data (where consent is the basis for the activity)
- The right to appeal a denial of a request
